2022 is nearing its end. We want to anticipate with this short news all the companies that in this difficult year have made the courageous choice to become energy self-sufficient. Important companies that have invested in us but above all have invested in their future.

Making a plant energy efficient does not only require the installation of the photovoltaic system. Of vital importance, if necessary, is the remaking of the industrial roof. Our twenty years of know-how as a general contractor of industrial construction has allowed us to obtain exceptional results for our customers.

Here is a list of our energy partners with their related jobs:

Dayco Europe Srl - San Bernardo D’Ivrea (TO)> completely rebuilt the shed roof of the plant and installed a photovoltaic system of 832.96 kWp. All this does and will save the customer about € 208,000 per year with a consequent amortization of all investments in about 4 years;

Plados Telma Spa - Montecassiano (MC)> 477 kWp photovoltaic system installed. All this does and will save the environment about 207 tons of CO2 per year and the customer about € 119,000 per year with a consequent amortization of all investments in about 4 years;

Modulo Srl - Umbertide (PG)> 384 kWp photovoltaic system installed. The plant produces 422,400 kWh on average per year, of which 85% aimed at direct self-consumption, while the remaining 15% fed into the network. The customer will obtain net savings of approximately € 96,000 per year with consequent amortization of all investments in approximately 4 years;

Alessandro Gherardi Srl - Pieve Santo Stefano (AR)> 212 kWp photovoltaic system installed. The plant produces 265,000 kWh on average per year, of which 90% aimed at direct self-consumption, while the remaining 10% fed into the network. The customer will obtain net savings of approximately € 53,000 per year with consequent amortization of all investments in approximately 4 years. On this site we have also created the new safety system for roofs with lifelines.

Rustichella d'Abruzzo Spa - Pianella (PE)> completely redone the roof with the installation of a 10 cm insulating mat which will allow a very important energy efficiency. Two layers of slated sheath have been placed on top of it, capable of waterproofing the ad hoc roof. A first 120 kWp photovoltaic system installed. A second 350 kWp plant will be completed by the end of 2022. The work carried out to date will allow savings of approximately € 30,000 per year;

BKW Industrie Srl - Perugia> 85 kWp photovoltaic system installed. The plant will largely meet our customer's annual consumption (about 70,000 kWh) and the remaining self-generated energy (about 30,000 kWh) will go to the grid. All this makes the customer about € 22,000 per year with a consequent amortization of all investments in about 4 years;

The installation work of the 135 kWp photovoltaic system on the industrial roof of the CAU snc plant in Gubbio (PG) is almost completed in advance. 309 440 Watt Jinko Solar modules were used in the work.

As you can see from the photo, the photovoltaic modules were installed coplanar with the metal domes in 6/10 thick sheet metal.

On this system we have complied to the letter with the fire prevention regulations (DCPREV 1324 of 07.02.2012 and note DCPREV 6334 of 05.05.2012), keeping a safe distance (100 cm) from the underlying REI compartments and above all the documentation of the building, in this case the industrial roof with the B-Roof characteristic.

We mention this aspect because, as general contractor, in our installations we try to foresee everything that must be taken into consideration, both at a technical level and above all at a regulatory level, relieving the customer of any responsibility and design choices.

Another project has come to an end according to the established schedules respecting the quality of the work and more importantly, the expectations of our client.

Let's start from the present: Step 2 of 3 completed, as per program and contractual agreements.

In the images below you can see a situation (before-after) of the structure. The first image dates back to the end of May, while the second was taken a little while ago by our technicians present on site to draw up the report, together with the customer, of the closure of the roof refurbishment works.

As mentioned, only the 3rd step is missing to complete the project, namely the construction of the second photovoltaic system with a nominal power of 350 kWp to be installed with AC ballast. on the flat roof of the new renovated roof.

The construction works of this plant will start in the new year, knowing that it will be put into operation by March 2023.

Let's start from the beginning by telling you, in short summary, this project that saw us operate as a general contractor (energy + roof renovation).

We will count this company as a "case of success" both for us and for our customer Rustichella D’Abruzzo SpA.

January 2022: the first inspection was carried out on the industrial roof (see photo below) and it was evaluated together with the customer to completely redo the roof, including the replacement of the skylights. The possibility of installing a photovoltaic system (about 120 kWp) sized ad hoc for the customer's consumption was also feared.

February 2022: several feasibility studies and technical reports were sent to the customer, aimed at representing the various feasible solutions and trade-offs (cost forecasts - benefits).

March 2022: several offers were drawn up both for the refurbishment of the roof and for the photovoltaic systems. Strongly believing in the seriousness of our customer, and aware of the difficult period for the procurement of raw materials and system components, we ordered 70% of the material with foresight.

April 2022: Several technical reviews of the general project definition are carried out.

May 2022: the customer formally entrusted us with the task with the signing of the contract. The installation work of the photovoltaic system began almost immediately, while the renovation of the industrial roof in the first weeks of July.
