Ferrotramviaria S.p.A.: 140 kW photovoltaic system installed

We can say with a certain pride and pleasure that the installation work of the 140 kW photovoltaic system positioned on the industrial roof of the Bari Scalo railway hub, the operational headquarters of Ferrotramviaria SpA, has finally been completed.

To install this system, a specific coordination program was made both at an operational and safety level with our client's managers Giuseppe Laforgia, Vito Mastrodonato, Gaetano Pavoncelli, Giacomo di Castelnuovo, Nicola Labarile whom we would like to thank for their cooperation in the project.

 

 

The objective was not to stop the industrial operating activities and was achieved thanks to the daily management and communication of the personnel present on site.

Furthermore, many problems were solved also at a logistical level, which at the beginning of the construction site worried the project managers a lot.

 

 

Given the specifics of the site, the work required a greater effort in terms of risk and interference assessment, in fact a system of life lines and perimeter parapets was studied, designed and installed to allow us to move on the roof in total safety, given the typology of the same with barrel faces without lateral protections.

Thanks to daily communication with the client from our staff present on site, we were able to limit interference, guaranteeing the operation of the maintenance workshop present inside without particular problems.

The presence of live power lines to power the train carriages near the workshop where we installed the photovoltaic system represented a further risk factor that we correctly assessed and managed together with the managers of Ferrotramviaria Spa.

 

 

In the next few weeks, within the month of April, the plant will come into operation and will be connected by e-distribuzione with an on-the-spot metering regime to allow Ferrotramviaria SpA to self-consume the energy produced, reaching an overall energy autonomy of 30% at the annual level.

And this is how another important industrial job concludes positively with a first-class customer who, according to the industrial investment programs, will soon build other photovoltaic plants on other operating sites.
