Workmec S.p.a.: new photovoltaic plant is close to commissioning.
The installation works of the photovoltaic system on the industrial roof of Workmec Spa, in Busnago (MB) are about to finish on schedule, as scheduled
The Workmec SpA project started in February 2022, where the directors of the respective companies evaluated the "plant operating lease" model as an alternative to the direct management of the contract tender.
It took about 15 months to finalize this project, as Workmec undertook to completely redo the roof, disposing of the old asbestos roof and making some structural consolidations on the prefabricated beams.
The plant has a power of 188 kW capable of annually generating over 200,000 kWh of clean energy. We are proud to have finalized this project with a partner like Workmec, a company full of innovative ideas and the desire to challenge itself.
Operations in "plant operating lease" have, as a legal prerequisite, the transfer of the flat roof, from subject "A" (owner of the building) to subject "B", (the investor who installs the plant and sells to third parties enjoyment and use).
According to this legal logic, as an investor, we wanted to take all the due protections and guarantees of the case, so that the building and the industrial roof were in excellent condition and perfectly usable in the long term.
According to the contractual agreement reached with Workmec, the plant will be given enjoyment and use for 12 years, leaving the customer with an option to purchase at the beginning of the thirteenth year, or by extending the lease for a further three years.
With this operation, the Inveco Group expands and consolidates its energy assets, reaching an installed operating power of 2,220 kW, capable of generating an average of 2,770,000 kWh of clean energy from renewable sources every year.
In the coming months we will be close to certifying our plants and obtaining the GO certificates (guarantee of origin) of the clean energy produced and fed into the national grid.
The Guarantee of Origin (GO) is an electronic certification that certifies the renewable origin of the sources used by IGO qualified plants.
This project will be the subject of a future lending crowdfunding campaign with the Ener2crowd platform.
The first investors will receive a fast ticket with an investment return of more than 7% per annum.
For us at Inveco it is always an honor and a pleasure to be able to give life to these projects that embrace our philosophy, where renewable energy is both the protagonist and an accomplice of our future.
